Hi,

I'm in my last semester of university, and had my surgery (BSSO,

Lefort I, genio and wisdom teeth) 5 weeks ago. I went back to class

10 days after the surgery. I still had some noticeable swelling, and

my prof later commented to me that I looked fairly out of it that

first day back (I don't know about everyone else, but for the first

few weeks after I couldn't have added two plus two for the life of

me. And I'm in physics so all we DO is math...it was a little

frustrating! I don't know if that was because of the morphine or the

anaesthetic or the diet or what...maybe I'm just dumb hehe but wow my

brain didn't work). For me, if I'd had all the time in the world, I

would have taken another few days off,but it was certainly doable to

go back and take down notes, etc, after 10 days. Just tiring!!!! I

wasn't anxious to hang around on campus afterwards.

If you had to talk in class though that might be more difficult.

Anyhow, good luck with your surgery when you have it!
