Guest guest
Hi, I'm in my last semester of university, and had my surgery (BSSO, Lefort I, genio and wisdom teeth) 5 weeks ago. I went back to class 10 days after the surgery. I still had some noticeable swelling, and my prof later commented to me that I looked fairly out of it that first day back (I don't know about everyone else, but for the first few weeks after I couldn't have added two plus two for the life of me. And I'm in physics so all we DO is math...it was a little frustrating! I don't know if that was because of the morphine or the anaesthetic or the diet or what...maybe I'm just dumb hehe but wow my brain didn't work). For me, if I'd had all the time in the world, I would have taken another few days off,but it was certainly doable to go back and take down notes, etc, after 10 days. Just tiring!!!! I wasn't anxious to hang around on campus afterwards. If you had to talk in class though that might be more difficult. Anyhow, good luck with your surgery when you have it! - > > Hi, I am getting surgery sometime this year (at long last), and I was > wondering how much time I would probally have to take off university? > I have read in leafflets that you should take off at least a week, but > I was wondering how much time others have taken off, particuarlly > after a LeFort 1, and genioplasty? Guest guest
Do you think you could have done it if you had to make speaches and answer questions in class ? > > > > Hi, I am getting surgery sometime this year (at long last), and I > was > > wondering how much time I would probally have to take off > university? > > I have read in leafflets that you should take off at least a week, > but > > I was wondering how much time others have taken off, particuarlly > > after a LeFort 1, and genioplasty? Did you tell your tutor or whatever abotu the surgery, and needing time off, even if it was only 10 days? > > > > Hi, I am getting surgery sometime this year (at long last), and I > was > > wondering how much time I would probally have to take off > university? > > I have read in leafflets that you should take off at least a week, > but > > I was wondering how much time others have taken off, particuarlly > > after a LeFort 1, and genioplasty?
