Guest guest
, THANK YOU for this mind-inspiring comment (to me, at least). I started at 278, got down to 170, have crept back up to 188, BUT...I am a " normal " size 14, I am at the gym 4X weekly, I just hired a personal trainer and am working muscles I never knew I had. At 278 lbs I would have never been able to do what I do now. I outshine my size 5 , 20 year old daughter in the gym, she says she can't keep up with me. I take no more medications for aches and pains, GERD, asthma, migraines, etc. My daily diet has changed drastically from the everydayness of fast foods, even my 6'6 " , 23 year old son has lost 60 lbs in the last year with my help because we have no more junk food in the house and I cook healthier meals. I may still complain because I want to see those numbers go down on the scale. My personal goal was anywhere from 150-165, maybe one day... Have a nice sunny Texas day! It just seems as though too many of us obscess over the NUMBER vs. how much better we feel physically, better health, better eating, better nutrition. I wish everyone could feel good about the progress they've made and look with anticipation to the progess that will come however slow it is. > > S. > Lap RNY 7/5/02 > -132 lbs.
