Hi Jessie,

My son also received his helmet at 5 months. He was only sleeping on his back

before the helmet. After 2 weeks of sleeping on his back with the band, he

started sleeping on his side. He slept like that most of the time until he

graduated at 7 months. After the band was off for about a week, he continued to

sleep on his side and then his tummy.

I had the same fear of regression. However, at 7.5 months now, I've noticed

that he hardly sleeps on his back anymore. I am still pretty diligent about

keeping him off the back of his head unless it's necessary. And when I do, I

put the Noggin Nest under him so his head isn't resting on a hard surface.

Good Luck!

it on? Im concerned about this because I know that babies should always sleep on

their backs, but will the helmet still correct the problem if they are on their

backs while wearing it? And what about after he wears it for three or four

months and then its removed? He's only 5 months old, wont his head flatten

again? He sleeps all night, about 10 hours .Thanks
