Guest guest
Estela: I'd be incredibly concerned. I would definitely make a trip to the doctor's office and have the hemorrhoids checked. The fact that the blood is bright red perhaps indicates that it is " fresh " and hasn't been through the digestive tract where it might turn darker, but I'm not a doctor. I don't think you can conclude anything about the food really. Some days are just better than others and I have unpredictable results from time to time as well. But do get to a doctor if you're bleeding!!!! in Austin RNY April 1998 Bad reaction > > Today for lunch I had half a Luby's egg salad and a small bowl of > broccoli & rice. I agree wholeheartedly. We tend to think sometimes that it's " just hemorrhoids, " and no big deal. My dad had them really bad, and was bleeding daily. When he finally got to a doctor because he was kind of gray and feeling generally crummy, his doctor told him that his blood count was a tiny fraction of what it should be, and they operated on the hemorrhoids the very next day (outpatient procedure). His doctor said that he had maybe a month before he would have been hospitalized and possibly died, all because he thought it was " just hemorrhoids. " He did have to get 2 pints of blood -- he was that low. Go get checked, and soon. ~~ Lyn G
Guest guest
Estela - I think I'd get it checked out to make sure. I have hemorroids, too, but usually only see blood if I have a hard bowel movement, and it's only a little blood. Brocolli and rice shouldn't give you diarhea. Perhaps you have a stomach bug?
