Guest guest
Kathy, Honestly, I have received this poem about ten times and I guess all I noticed was the cadence, and really didn't pay attention to the content. Also, I guess lately with all that has happened, I haven't been looking to be offended. I know that lately I have been taking myself so seriously, all it's done is put me into a blue funk. Its all about me...my sadness, my fear, my problems, when so much is happening in the world that I need to turn outward on. I had a stern talking to with myself, as well as some help from some wonderful folks online ...including you, who helped me to get my life back into perspective. I guess all I would like to say is that we do spend a lot of time with each other...at least with each others words and with each others hearts, and you have always shown a warm, empathetic and glowing heart. Maybe all of us, who are so sensitive could help ourselves, and this world with a simple phrase, " ASSUME INNOCENCE " . Now more than ever is the time to come together. If we are offended by something, maybe we could send a personal message to someone saying...I received this communication in the following spirit, and hoping you didn't mean it in a negative way, I wanted to explain how I felt. It's easy for all of us to say we would never be terrorists, its harder to say, in my heart, I would never intentionally hurt someone, because its from these little hurtful things, that terrorism is allowed to grow. Hell, I am lecturing....I didn't mean to, because I have to say I am usually the most guilty of blaming before asking.... I hope you know that I never felt you meant anything hurtful or racist in what you posted...and I personally thank you for being a warm glow in my life.
