Guest guest
I don't use a weighted blanket, but I do use a weighted vest for Alyssa. I think it was around $55 dollars and they come in several sizes and they're adjustable. It also came with enough weights for 1-4 lbs.( I have never had to go over 1 lb.) I ordered it from an Achievement Products catalog. I don't have to use it near as much now that I've put her on this diet. It does make her a lot calmer. I would put it on her for about 10 min before an activity and leave it on during the activity until she's seemed calm enough to take it off. I never left it on for more than an hour at a time though b/c I didn't want her to get to used to it and have to up the weight. Hope this helps, April ---- Original Message ----- To: <GFCFkids > Sent: Thursday, September 06, 2001 1:16 PM Subject: Off topic - weighted blankets. > Sorry to go off topic, but I have found the members of > this list serve to be the most knowlegable parents of > ASD kids on any of the lists I have seen. > > My high functioning (or Asperger's, we're not yet > sure) three year old is having a terrible time getting > down to naps at his day care / pre school.
