Brava to you for doing your research! You've found a great site for

all kinds of info on club feet; please don't hesitate to ask, chances

are that someone has just the info you need. I'm sure you can see

people here are very passionate about the Ponseti method, and once you

experience the amazing change in your own child's feet, you may find

yourself to be the same way.

We lived in Omaha when our son was treated for his club feet. We

opted to go to Dr. Ponseti even though we were told that a local dr.

had recently visited Dr. Ponseti to study his method. We've never

regretted that decision, despite extra hassles with insurance,

driving, etc. The quality of care you receive in IA City is first

class, world class, not only in their expertise with club feet, but in

their kindness and concern for both child and parents. And it is a

one-stop shop; the orthotist who fits the brace and shoes is fully

understanding of the protocol and is just down the hallway from Dr.

Ponseti. You will experience the best in care, and can tell your child

that his feet were shaped by THE Dr. Ponseti. Our son is now almost

three and his feet are fantastic. I know it is a hassle to spend the

extra time driving down I-80, but I assure you, we found the level of

care (for the whole family) to be so outstanding that the drive was a

non-issue.

It's a great idea to contact Dr. Ponseti with any questions too, he

and his staff are terrific.

Duh, I guess I don't read very well- " I'm expecting a son in May who

has club foot " - how could I miss that?! Congratulations on your son,

hope the next few months are smooth, and don't worry, his feet are

going to be just fine after a little tweaking!
