Guest guest
Hi Dora, I go for my sleep study may 8th. I'm a little nervous not knowing what to expect or even take. Can you give us an update when you get back? Or if you'd rather email me privatly at findme@... thank you and good luck! hugs My sleep study is tonight... I knew that I was going to have to schedule a sleep study but did not know it would be so soon. I was talking with the lady who does the scheduling and she has had GBS. She understood where I was coming from and told me she would get me in as soon as possible. If I had to wait for an appointment it might be late May. She called me this morning and told me that they had an appointment for me for May 31st but they had a cancellation tonight and if I could come in I could have it. So, I am going in tonight to sleep for them. That should be pretty simple. Also, I go to the surgeon for my first visit with him. After tonight I will have done all the preliminary tests that they requested and we should be ready to move forward with the insurance company. Wish me luck. I hope to be approved and in surgery by late July or early August. It would be a real blessing if it happens sooner for some reason. Dora 446 Pre-op Waiting for surgeon's OK. Guest guest
It was not so bad. They hook you up to 21 probes, 2 on your feet, some on your chest in front and on your back, a bunch all over your head including some that they have to glue into your hair. None of it hurts and the person who did mine could not have been any nicer. They also put an oxygen thing on my finger. The only hard part was getting to sleep in an unfamiliar bed. They told me that if I have apnea they would come in during the night and put the machine on me. Well I got the machine. It is not bad and it just goes over your nose. Can't tell you if I slept better, because I was not in my bed. But over all, they were very nice and it was not bad at all. You will do fine. Dora Re: My sleep study is tonight...
