Guest guest
- Go to VitaLady.com to see a couple of older posties. and Don are almost 10, and almost 9 years post-op. You can also join ossg-graduates where there is another lady who is a 20 year postie. You can't post to the Grad's list, but you can read, and learn . . . All 3 of the above people are very successful weight-wise, and healthy, etc. I know and Don personally, see them at least once a month, as they lead my in-person support group. HTH, Subject: newbie to the group I would like to introduce myself, my name is . I have been lingering around your group for about a week, reading and trying to understand more about this surgery. Im 43, 260lbs, diabetic and have high blood pressure. For the past 10 years I have been on oral medicine for my diabetes and for the last 18 months have been on insulin injections. My sugar is rarely under control even though Im very severe w/myself and follow Drs orders and diet to the letter. My Dr recently told me to think about gastric bypass surgery and that we would talk about it on my next visit (in 3 months). So here I am... I do have a few questions though, I have noticed that most are pretty recent post op people. Are there any out there that had the surgery done a long time ago? Meaning at least 5 years preferably longer? Longest I seen posted was almost 2 yrs. Hawkridge in Washington State.
