Guest guest
Oh! This thread couldn't have come along at a better time! We've been struggling for a while now with taking our son to Dr. Ponseti. The Dr. we're with here at home has been wonderful and caring with our son and he made a lot of progress initially. So we've struggled with telling her that we wanted to see Dr. P. We finally set our minds to it (thanks to everyone on this board who encouraged us!) and we're seeing Dr. Ponseti on Monday. Flying there on Sat. Anyway, that's a story for another excited post! I had to call our Dr. today to get some Xrays to take with us and She and her assistant are great. So professional. I'm telling you, I made myself sick over talking to the Dr. about consulting someone else. I'm a worrier too. I think DH wanted ear plugs every time I brought up this subject. Like other posts have said, It's all about what's best for your child though. We have to make the hard decisions sometimes! Thanks for this thread. I really needed to read them. > > Okay, I have committed doctor infidelity. LOL I went to see Dr. > Ponseti without telling my local orthopedist here. Guest guest
Dear Carol, I am italian grandfather of Giuseppe. Giuseppe's history is in PHOTOS of group. I have same experience with my local doctor who use Ponseti's method. But the feet of Giuseppe have atipycal clubfoot. I talked directly with my italian doctor and said my wish to meet Dott. Ponseti. He appreciated my sincerity and understanded my idea. He liked to know the cure of Doct. Ponseti. I transmited to my local doctor the exceptional experience with Doct. Ponseti and he appreciated. The frankness is the better solution. Excuse my english. Matteo Procacci Carol ha scritto: Okay, I have committed doctor infidelity. I like him a lot but went to Dr. Ponseti because only he could answer some questions I had about 's feet, which are atypical in some ways. I would like to think that my doc here would like to see a Ponseti cast. He has been trained by Dr. Ponseti so is following the Ponseti method for the most part. Any suggestions or experiences to share? I will post later about my visit with Dr. Ponseti. It was a wonderful experience!
