Guest guest
Thank you for this opportunity to reflect on this. I love the way my son is so forgiving. I love the fact that he doesn't understand the social games that others play. I love that he doesn't wait to be invited to hug or kiss. I love that he is absolutely honest. Guest guest
Reading the posts on this topic has really brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for such a wonderful thread idea... The things that I love most would have to include that if Dallas wakes up before me in the morning, the first thing he does is put my glasses on my face (I'm not mommy with the glasses, I guess) and then he gives me a big ol kiss. The second thing would have to be his laugh. He has the most contagious laugh in the world...you can't help but smile when you hear it. I love watching him play " Fastest Finger " at the Who Wants to be a Millionaire web site...when he lucks out and gets the numbers in the right order, he does a happy dance all through the house and when he gets it wrong, he just puts his head down and tries again. Dallas has taught me to take nothing for granted in this world, to be more accepting and to celebrate all the little victories in life. He has also taught me that when you think you've tried everything, you probably haven't and that you need to dig a little deeper and work a little harder...he is the hardest worker I know...that is a lot for such a little guy to teach to an old lady like myself! Guest guest
Oh, what a breath of fresh air for all of us mommies, daddies, grandmas, grandpas and even aunts and uncles on this list to actually take a moment and " brag " about our little ones. I love the fact that Mason, now 3 1/2, loves me for me, good and bad. he never judges me or makes me feel wrong. he knows I try everything humanly possible to be a good mother to him and his brother. I love the fact that he " hears the sun smile " at him and has shown me that it really does " smile " . I love the fact that my son looks at me with those huge doe eyes and is actually curious about things, never bored, never tired of hearing the same story over and over. He sits gallantly at my side while I read articles of the newspaper to him, I know he doesn't understand goverment relations, but hey, who does...he just loves to hear me talk. Most of all, I love the fact that he is my son and nobody elses, I am proud to be his mommy:) Debbie > This is off topic for the group- but somtimes I get so foucused on > what my son needs to learn, I forget to celebrate what makes him > unique, beautiful and who he is. Guest guest
My favorite quality is how sweet my son is. When he looks at my daughters, he just adores them, and he gives them SUCH squeezes. His warmth just radiates. I see so many obnocheous and nasty children, an he is just so sweet he melts me.-Shari
