Guest guest
The main suggestion in my mind is to follow the book closely and try to establish these habits as early as possible. You will be tempted to cheat but the longer you can go without it till free day, the sooner the habits will become part of your everyday life and the sooner you will see progress. Let your free day become self regulating and don't force food you don't really want. Don't get all caught up in calorie counting or anything else that will confuse you. The palm/fist method of portioning your food should already fall close enough to your calorie needs for fat loss providing your workouts are intense. Keep it simple. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Expect great changes! You will be sore, but you'll learn to love it. You'll wonder if you're eating enough or too much, but you will figure it out. You will ask yourself, " Is it worth it? " when you have bad days, but you will rise above it! And you *will* be totally proud of yourself for your accomplishment! Congrats on your new journey! job005_02 wrote: > We are too excited (hope I have this much steam and enthusiasm 3 weeks > from today..LOL) at any rate my husband and I are starting BFL > tomorrow. Guest guest
Ken, I wish the best of everything to you for the best possible outcome. My husband was my caretaker, as your wife is yours - I think she'll be relieved and not so nervous once you've had the surgery & get that part over with. Please tell her I'll be thinking of her too. I haven't been present much on the forum lately but I've followed as much as I could about your surgery. It is a big step that you've made, especially with the ambivilence you've had about it. I really believe you'll feel much better once you're on "the other side" after giving some recovery time. All the best, G [ ] Tomorrow is the Big Day... Fellow Flatbackers... Thanks again for all of the support! We leave home tomorrow morning at 4:45AM - check in at 5:30AM and surgery is scheduled for 7AM.. Nan / / & Sharon have my contact information... my wife will appreciate any support given!! (she's so nervous today...) Oddly, I'm hanging in there better than expected (occasional tears!) See you on the OTHER-SIDE (FINALLY!!!!) Ken.
Guest guest
Ken, Best wishes for everything ahead. Tomorrow is a big day, no doubt...but it is also just the beginning of a new page in your life. I am sure a few months from now you will look back and realize how much tension is gone from your life because you are not dreading and awaiting.... " the big day " . I hope we get to hear an update or two along the way. We will all be thinking about you tomorrow. See you on the other side. Take Care, Cam
Guest guest
HI Ken, I am wishing you the best success. You will be in my prayers. Tell your wife, what is her name?? anyway, tell her to not be surprised by how you look in recovery. The general idea is that you will probably look like you have been hit by a bus. My hunny had wished that he had been warned. Anyway, have her log in if she needs us for support. I am assuming she will be in contact with Nan to update us? God speed. Guest guest
We are picking up McKenna's band tomorrow instead of Friday, due to a scheduling problem. Any last minute advice is great. I know she will definitely rely on my reaction so I will try to seem very excited. I wish " Dad " was going to be able to make it, but he is away :-( I will keep you posted! Wish us luck. Anything we should have on hand ahead of time, besides alcohol? Thanks,
