First off God bless you-situation sounds heartbreaking. Second I am no medical

expert-but have they cultured the stool for C-diff? After long run of

antibiotics it is possible he has this. To me whey contains casein-but again I

am not an expert so I am not sure if breaking it down to the amino acids could

remove the protien casein from it. As far as I understand it-if you have an

allergy the body produces antibodys against the offender. So I am thinking it

would be the same allergy/antibody. I wish you much luck and hope we can all

Take it from someone who is allergic to casein. I almost died from it when

I was three months. Now I am 31 and can have casein in limited amounts. It

has taken me YEARS to beable to do this. It just doesn't happen over night.

When you are trying to intoduce casien again, do it in very small amounts

and SLOWLY increase it. It will take years just to beable to do that. And

expect allergic reaction throughout the childs life. When pregnant, my

allergy would flair up 100%. Then take me months just to beable to eat a

very small amount. Its not as bad as one think. You can basicly cook the

same, but leave out certain items.
