Guest guest
Awww, that's so great to hear! Update on Salem Hey all, Sorry it has been so long since an update, but I wanted to let you know how well things have been going... Salem has been seen by DR. Ponseti and is doing _very_ well. She had her first casting on 12/05/05. She does fuss a bit with each casting, but according to my wife, it is very minimal, less than the wailing that took place at the Shriners hospital, and has not left her unable to be awake without screaming. Bottom line, Ponseti has been at the U of Iowa since 1946(or is it 8?) and has this thing down cold. He told my wife that he used mother's intuition to come up with the process, noting the comfort level of the mother and child to determine how far to correct, etc. Despite the costs that are associated with having my wife and two of my four children in Iowa, it is the best move we could have possibly made. This man is the master of his craft and there is no doubt he gets " it " . He is nothing short of a saintly man with wisdom to spare. Salem has bilateral CF that Dr. Ponseti called severe, if not atypical. , Claire and Salem will be coming home between Christmas and New Years Day. Thanks for your support and friendly advice! -Salem, and Craig
