Guest guest
Tracie, as always you are a Godsend, since I read your last email I have figured out a way to sneak my O2 tank into work before somebody sees it, and till I get better I will use my O2 machine at home. I have it on now, and I don't seem to be struggling quite so hard. I will get to the pharmacy tomorrow for the mucinex. How do you get the sinus rinse thing, can you just buy one or is it prescription. I have never seen one. I know I am going to have to relinquish some of the pride and privacy issues I have. I hate for anyone to see me use oxygen, but I'm ready to say uncle. I have had problems with the systemic sarc, but I haven't had breathing problems this bad in 4 yearsm, I am wheezing so loud it's hard to sleep. I just don't quite understand what happened. I feel like right now I'm sliding down an icy cliff and can't find anything to grab on to. Thank you so much for throwing me a rope, any and all relief is a blessing. Please take care of yourself, thank you very, very much for answering me. You have given me so many things to help, that weren't coming to mind. connie From: tracie feldhaus <tiodaat2001@ yahoo.com>Subject: Re: Re: I'm in a messTo: Neurosarcoidosis@ yahoogroups. comDate: Friday, September 4, 2009, 4:34 PM Did he give you portable oxygen to use at home?? You also need some good inhalers-- Advair? Albuterol to open the airways quickly, and the breathing treatments? If you can tolerate it-- use an icepack on your back to help get some of that immediate inflammation down (you don't want to do it too often-- as too much cold can actually iritate the airways more.]. Fluids-- FLUIDS--FLUIDS- - WHATEVER IS IN THERE NEEDS TO COME OUT, AND MUCINEX (Guafinisen) IS WONDERFUL FOR THAT-- ASK HIM ABOUT IT. It thins the mucus so you can get it up and out. Guest guest
Connie, the Sinus Rinse is put out by NeilMed-- and it comes with a bottle and the saline packets. You just add water and a packet and follow the directions. It washes the gunk out of your sinuses and (I know, it's gross) but as you squirt it up one nostril, it pours out the other side. It is ph balanced, so it's not like getting water up your nose. The relief is immediate!!! I so get the privacy stuff, but you will feel so much better. BTW-- this sounds like some good pneumonia going on--- so I do hope they have you on antibiotics? You've caught something-- and it's a combo of bronchitis and asthma and pneumo?? Hang in there my friend, it does get better.
