First, let me say that I had the DS, not the RnY. So, I do not have

pouch issues.

I started to eat sushi again post op around month 6. I am now 28

months post-op. We have sushi about once a week. I found that the

rice was taking up too much room, so I switched to sashimi, which is

just the raw fish without the rice (my usual orders are fatty

tuna-toro, salmon-sake, yellowfin-hamachi, and eel-unagi). That way,

I can get more protein down without bloating on the rice. Sometimes

I have tempura fried shrimp and veggies with it, but I cannot finish

an entire side order, so I have that only when DW agrees to share the

tempura with me.

YMMV,

Steve

I'm envious... none of the Japanese restaurants around here have toro tuna.

They have the regular tuna, but not the toro. I have only had it in San

Francisco and New York. Mmmmm good - like butter!
