Guest guest
I seem to remember reading somewhere that after you've been at or close to goal for a while, you stop looking so bony. Is that true? I still have about 11 lbs to go to reach the goal that I chose for myself. I think I've chosen a healthy goal weight. I'm 5'8 " and I weigh 161 now and my goal is 150. I'm in between sizes 12 and 14 and would really like to fit nicely into a 12. My upper body is so bony right now, it's almost gross to look at, especially when I'm wearing a sleeveless shirt. I look at people who have been thin their whole lives, and they don't look as bony as I do now. How long does this take to go away? On a side note, it's been a little while since I posted, and I wanted to update with some good news. It appears that my chronic pain problems are improving (Thank God!). The general theory is that I have nerve damamge from my RNY and structural problems. My chiropractor started me on a detox program 8 weeks ago to help clean up my fat (that's where toxins are held) so my body will burn it more easily, and to help my body heal itself. I'm also having chiropractic adjustments, ultrasound and acupuncture several times a week. In addition, I've been exercising regularly and building muscle. I feel better physically, which is helping me deal emotionally with the pain. I sure hope this trend continues. Thanks everyone for your advice!!
