, you sure nuff did read that right! LOL We have NO air conditioning. I

am not sure that many houses HAVE A/C in this PART of the state. And the

ONLY thing I use to heat my home is a gas fireplace (in the great room

downstairs) that has a fan. PLUS, we have ceiling fans situated in strategic

locations through out the house to MOVE the air around. It works pretty well

on most days. During the winter....the hot air rises and the little gas

fireplace heats a 2200 sq. ft. house all by it's lonesome! Because the house

is really opened...to the upstairs (a loft) this works. Other wise we would

be using very inefficient electric heat. Did wood burning fire place the

first year and it nearly killed my sinuses! Now we have gas and I love it.

However, STILL complains about it being too hot upstairs...even in

the winter. LOL If I have it comfortable for me downstairs...upstairs is too

hot for him.

, I have BEEN through Amarillo....actually spent a NIGHT there on our

two month odyssey across country earlier this year....so I KNOW how it can

be.
