Guest guest
Ugh, Donna, I was afraid someone would ask me that question. I guess I should say I would go to either without reservation. Does Dr. Welker do only 'open' as well ? You don't have any regrets, do you ? Was there anything that swayed you one way or the other ? Sorry .... but just 'curious' ) Bye, Donna email: joostema@... Guest guest
>Then Dr. Welker in Portland I thought that he had moved to Eugene? FYI: Dr. Welker has at least one death which you can read about in the obituary section of Obesityhelp.com or in here (if you look back several months). The patient had a BMI of something like 88, so he was very high risk. I agree with Welker's opinion regarding the stapled anistomosis, and that explains the high leak rate that the NY doctors have reported. I think that Dr. Rabkin (who uses lap " assist " ) does not staple, though I am not sure. Hull
Guest guest
I believe he does it assisted right now. I dont know about the program fee but if he does, its nothing compared to what Rabkin charges. He did mention to me that too many insurance companies are not paying the docs what they deserve and that he might have to go that route if it didnt change.
