Guest guest
Hi Greg, I am so glad you got the Social Security........you DO deserve it. As for working, yes, I am sure most of us would like to be able to work like we used to, but for most of us it is just impossible. I am lucky there..........WHEN and IF I feel like it, I can work at my son-in-law and daughter's business. It is only a block and a half from my home and there is always office work to do. And it gives me a little extra money which I can certainly use. When I am not able to work, I just let them know......... You take care......... Guest guest
Greg, I'm glad you got social security and quickly too. You must have a good lawyer! I worked for over 20 yrs too and would have liked to keep it up, but the illness prompted my DDDI too. I miss working a lot. Guest guest
Greg When I got my disability I was also given what is called a Ticket to work. I am going to go to school, at my home, on my computer and the DVR is going to pay for it. They are also going to find me a job when I am finished. There is a huge call for Medical Transcriptionist in this area. I can work at my own speed. It doesn't pay much about .09 cents a line. I only take in what I feel I can do. Looking forward to it over the winter. Again congradts. to you. Jackie You should check and see if you have anything like that in your area. Guest guest
Jackie, Thanks for the info. But before I got sick I was a Master Certified Mercedes Benz Auto Tech. I have invested over $50,000 in tools. I really would like to go back to work there. But with memory and balance issues it is not safe or wise to at this time. I get calls still from my clients asking how I am and when I will be back at work. It is really nice feel needed. I am endeavoring to return to work at the shop, until that proves to be impossible that is what I will strive for. Balance is slowly coming back, and I am working on me endurance at this time. Memory and thought processes are still a challange. But I will strive to improve them also. But I do appriceate your advice and thoughts. Just consider me to be a had headed male on certain subjects.
