Guest guest
I know with the starter you use a tiny amount and it is supposed to lasta long time - is that true with the SCDophilus as well? My bottle of SCDophilus didn't last very long; only a month or two. I just ordered more. I wish it came in a bigger size! Bifidus is the current darling of the probiotic world; be interesting to see where it is in ten years, ie, will it stand the test of time the way acidophilus has. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
There are several legal probiotics. Each of us usually end up trying one or more of them to determine which is the best tolerated. We’re all so individual [grin]. I think there are a number of people using each type, so in the end it all depends on our bodies’ tolerances. There is a list of legal probiotics with links in the group Files. Probiotics containing L. Acidophilus: Lucy’s Kitchen Shop sells the legal Lyosan (but it has some dairy included); GIProHealth sells SCDophilus; Kirkman Labs has a L. Acidophilus hypoallergenic; and Custom Probiotics has a single strain L. Acidophilus. Some of the these companies also offer probiotics that include illegals, so make sure you read the ingredient list carefully. Probiotic containing S. Boulardii: Kirkman Labs has one, so does GIProHealth I believe. A lot of people also use yogurt for their probiotic source. Kim M.
