Guest guest
I was first dx'd with crohn's colitis. After a Prometheus test which is a hand drawn blood test, it came back positive for crohn's disease. My insurance didn't cover that test btw. If they can't determine it and SCD helps you, it seems like due to pre-existing insurance problems, they could determine it or put something else. Maybe you should ask someone who could know...I don't know who. I'd do what I could to get out of the dx at all. Since you are taking lialda, I don't know if that even matters. It's just so hard to get insurance yourself with that pre-existing condition. Just FYI. It matters if you change doctors, they'll want to redo every test already taken or that was my experience. Even with all that, the latest Gastro doc switched me to Asacol for UC which *killed* me. It's up to you but some things to consider. Clear as mud right? <g> Debbie 40 cd > Hi, > > I am new to the group. I started the diet about a month and a half ago. Guest guest
I don't remember the term they used but there is only one place to have it analyzed and it was overnighted. He called within a few days with the results. I guess it's not hand drawn because that would mean you have it all done in one place right? Anyway, at the time 2003, that was the deciding factor.
