Guest guest
Becky, Only you can decide this for yourself. As you know if you read this list regularly, some have had severe problems from Vioxx; others are taking it, prescribed by doctors who say it is safe. Personally, I take it because my joints feel like I'm 100 years old when I don't and my doctors say they are watching closely and feel I will be OK with it. Honestly, it makes me nervous, but I am taking the chance. I have ordered a months supply of Syn-flex and when it arrives, I will stop the Vioxx and try it for a month to see if it works. I can get away with the Vioxx every other day, sometimes skipping 2 days, and my doctor says it is OK to do this. Hope this helps. Am I crazy for trying the vioxx? Thank you.
Guest guest
my doctors say they are watching closely and feel I will be OK with it. , I am curious about this.......what exactly are they " watching closly " for and why do they " feel you will be OK with it? " The reason(s) I am asking is because when I developed a bleeding ulcer there were absolutely NO warning signs that I could feel/detect. Saturday I walked around Phipps conservatory for several hours feeling just fine.....Sunday morning I woke up feeling fine.....within two hours I started to feel very weak, then felt like I had to have a bowel movement and filled the bowl with blood. Next thing I new my numbers were dropping rapidly and they were transfusing me.......hoping that it wasn't going out as quick as they were putting it in. When I asked the doc what warning signs did I miss he replied " None, there aren't any! " I am relieved that you are going to try the Syn-flex.......I am myself waiting very anxiously for all the reports from the people on this list. I am tired of waiting for the next dose of Darvocet. And, like you, I live with constant leg pain.......somedays (like lately) I feel as though I am dragging around two large painful tree trunks........it makes life miserable!!!!
