Avoiding supplements for a day - anyone else feel better with this?

A little over a week ago I had a bout of D after taking a new kind of iron for a

few days, adding strawberries, and building up how much yogurt I was taking to

probably 1.5 C/day. I stopped all three, but the day after I also stopped all

supplements, waited till my guts felt ready for water and drank a ton of it,

plus my SCD foods that I knew worked, but not much. I felt great. Same next day.

Yesterday I went like 7 times, but mostly formed (I thank the cabbage for that),

and got my period today. Also started strawberries, started up the iron 2 days

before, and also started up DHEA, or dehydrone-5, which is supposed to be a

precursor to cortisol, testosterone and estrogen among other things - things

that would be messed up by prednisone. I got all jittery/anxious/hot/heart

flooded with adrenalin so I suspect it might have something to do with how many

times I went. Anyway! Haven't eaten or drank much today but I'm feeling much

better again - no supplements except of course prednisone, since it would be a

bad idea to stop that for a day.

I'm curious if anyone else has experience better moods, concentration, lessened

fatigue, ability to walk normally, use muscles etc., and lessened pain right

after D, or after cleansing with lots of water, or just not eating/drinking

much, or after not taking supplements.

I feel like maybe it is because there is not much going on, so my guts get to

rest and calm down. Not saying I'm going to starve myself! Just curious what

other people's experiences are.
