It is extremely saddening news. Robin and I have been spending time with , her husband Tom , her son Nick, and others in her family at the hospital and I have tried to convey to all her family members who are surrounding her everything that we know about through her amazing work and all of the wishes and other messages that many of you have asked me to express. ’s family is very grateful for the messages posted on CaringBridge from her colleagues and friends all over the country and around the world. For those who would like to send cards, and Tom’s home address is 2406 Churchill Rd., Silver Spring, MD 20902. Bruce ----------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Friends and Family, It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to tell you that is failing. The cancer has spread in her brain, and is affecting her breathing. She has been weakening for the last couple of days, and we had great hope that she would recover her strength and keep fighting. The effects of the cancer were too great, however, and treatment has been discontinued. is resting comfortably right now, surrounded by Tom, Nick, and other family members. I will write to you again when the situation changes. In the meantime, please continue your prayers for , that she may be comfortable and out of pain. Your support has been of great comfort to Tom and Nick and everyone in the family, and there are no words to thank you enough. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Bruce Goldstein Farmworker Justice 1126 16th St., N.W., Suite 270 Washington, D.C. 20036 202-293-5420 ext. 304 www.farmworkerjustice.org Blog at www.harvestingjustice.org Bruce Goldstein Farmworker Justice 1126 16th St., N.W., Suite 270 Washington, D.C. 20036 202-293-5420 www.farmworkerjustice.org Blog at www.harvestingjustice.org --- You are currently subscribed to fjftalk as: aread@....
