Guest guest
You are remarkable Jacque - happy anniversary! ------------------------------------------------ Terry Mayers 5DollarHosting.comT http://www.5dollarhosting.com <http://www.5dollarhosting.com/> (877)-838-HOST / .... because it shouldn't cost a fortune to make a fortune! R I'm Three Today! Well, today is my three year anniversary. Wow, what a three years it has been! Just this past week, I was at the lab getting my regular work up...and the girl commented on the amount of tests that had to be taken. So, I told her, I was a post gastric bypass patient, and did this all quite regularly. She wanted to know how much I had lost, and I told her 184 lbs, and handed her my card with my before and after pictures. She got very excited, and asked if she could show it to the girls up front. I said...sure...so off she went. When I had gotten my sleeve back down and my jacket on, I started to leave, and walked out in the office to 4 women standing there staring at me with their mouths open! There were a couple of lab techs, an RN, and an office girl. The questions began...one of them was overweight, and said her daughter was thinking about this. They were just flabbergasted...as if I was the only GBP patient they had ever seen or met up close. It was such fun. The nurse said I should be in the newspaper...as they are interested in " successes " like me. I said... " no...they are more interested in failures. " Anyway, the upshot of this pointless story is that I left the card with the one woman, to give to her daughter. It also has the name and address and phone number to IMNSHO the best surgeon in the state of Washington, and perhaps the country. As I walked out of the lab, I heard them murmurring, and one word stood out and rang in my ears.... " remarkable! " Well, that is a good word to sum up my past three years...Remarkable~!~ And I'm having a very happy Anniversary, thank you very much! I even sang to myself today, after I dropped off a friend that I took to the doctor....Happy Anniversary to ME! LOL! I wish you all the same success! Regards~ Jacque Distal RNY, 5/30/00 Drs.
