Guest guest
I had my surgery in june of 04 and i was wondering if anyone else had problems like im having. the first problem is that sometimes when i open my mouth (doesnt matter how wide) you can hear a cracking sound. Does that ever go away? Also i have had some pain just in one joint. I think that its because the joints are still stiff but im not sure. All of my numbness is pretty much gone but i still have very slight numbness in the inside of my bottom lip. I am positive the feeling will come back completely because i can feel it tingle slighty throughout the day. I would like to hear about anyone else who is as close to as far along as i am or farther along.
Guest guest
I had upper advancement and lower brought back in Aug 04 and am going through the same. SOme days puffy, some not, and cracking when I open my jaw. Nerves take a long time to heal. I was told that it takes many months (I think it was 7-9 months) for the bones to heal after the cutting. As for nerves I have heard up to a year for full recovery. Some have reported additional feeling returning after that. It just takes time for the body to recover from the trauma and the older you are the longer it takes. > > > > I had my surgery in june of 04 and i was wondering if anyone else > > had problems like im having. the first problem is that sometimes > > when i open my mouth (doesnt matter how wide) you can hear a > > cracking sound.
