Guest guest
Welcome! I suppose I was one of those vertically challenged folks. I had a very long face and an underbite. I'm about 5 weeks post-op and I'm very happy with the results. My face is still a bit long, but I look like myself, which is something I'm happy about. More importantly, my bite is fixed which couldn't have been done with orthodontics alone. This is definitely not a cosmetic procedure. While you some people see some cosmetic improvements, it's never guaranteed. I'm amazed that your orthodontist just told you this now after 5 years in braces. Usually it's the other way around -- you go in for a consultation and are told you need surgery before they even put the braces on. I think you should get an opinion from an oral surgeon so you can make an informed decision. Good luck. > > HELLO, > > I have wandered here while internet surfing.
