Guest guest
Here's a recipe for chicken wings, but I'm unsure about the cook time and temp. Anyone got any ideas? Will it make my oven smoky again? Sorry, I meant smoky, not smokey (see below). Thanks. http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/recipe?id=9615490 To: btvc-scd Sent: Tue, February 2, 2010 7:29:23 PMSubject: Chicken Wings recipe? Does anyone have an scd recipe for chicken wings? I tried a recipe that I found on the life lines site, but I ran into several problems: The recipe I looked at read to cook the wings on 390 degrees for 20 minutes, but mine took longer and they kept popping grease in the oven, so my oven was smokey and smelly. When they were finally done, the skins were not crispy all over, they were soft in a lot of places, and they were too greasy (I dried them with paper towels). Please share your recipes if you can. Thanks! :-)
Guest guest
Just disconnect your smoke alarms and open the window If you're broiling with the oven door open there's really no way to get around the smoke that comes out. However, i've broiled wings before and gotten them crispy (take a while) and I didn't have any problems with smoke. You can also try mixing melted butter and regular tobasco sauce to make a buffalo wing sauce. I've done that before and once cooked on the wings it tasted great! I might try adding honey next to make a sweet and spicy.-UC - 1+ yearsSCD - 7 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Asacol - 5 pills a dayTo: BTVC-SCD ; btvc-scd From: scdhelps@...Date: Tue, 2 Feb 2010 16:50:25 -0800Subject: Re: Chicken Wings recipe? Guest guest
There is a Honey Garlic Chicken recipe in BTVC. My husband and I have used this recipe for wings and we really enjoyed them. Guest guest
Yahoo! I LOVE hot sauce. Mind you, I am no where near being able to eat it right now... but I might buy a little bottle and put it next to my unopened jar of almond butter for motivation Thanks Marilyn. -Joanna SCD 9/2009, Crohn's 1992 > >Does anyone know of a legal prepared hotsauce that taste like 's? > >Or does anyone have a good recipe? > >'s lists: > >Aged Cayenne Red Peppers, Distilled Vinegar, Water, Salt and Garlic Powder > >Seems like it could be easy to make (with legal > >garlic powder of course) if I knew the proportions... > > Don't know about 's, but I do know red Tabasco sauce is legal. > > > — Marilyn > New Orleans, Louisiana, USA > Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 > Darn Good SCD Cook > No Human Children > Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund >
