Guest guest
You know, with all due respect, we as a group sometimes forget that *everyone's* mileage varies. My doctor told me at my 5-year checkup that I was his " poster child. " At five years, the surgery has been a magic bullet for me, absolutely no less than that. I find it easy to eat meat first 99% of the time. I eat sugar, in modest amounts compared to pre-WLS, virtually everyday. I'm maintaining my weight and it's easy. I don't know why it works, it just does. I can't take much credit for it, because I know I was not good at controlling or choosing what I ate before, so why would a row of staples change my brain? The thought that someone has to perform correctly by eating only healthy foods on TV is certainly much more than I ever signed up for, and probably Carnie too. I probably won't eat my 2-3 tablespoons of Ben and Jerry's when I'm on TV, but I do it a couple of times a week. The thing I did identify with was when she was eating her bite of dessert, she arranged everything on the spoon so that it was the " perfect " bite. I kind of make sure I save my room for the good stuff and that what I eat I really enjoy. I'm just thrilled for her that she's healthy and apparently pretty happy.
