Guest guest
As I've said before, I think my body just likes being contrary. I started this diet as a meat eater. Then I got to see what happened to animals up close. Then I was eating eggs and cheese but my body started responding quite violently to them. I do eat meat when I'm doing the starter diet in order to help my body heal but I stop as soon as I'm able. Though it's been so bad lately that I had to go on a fast for a couple days to get my system under control (worked like a charm). I lean more towards Buddhism than any other religion and the choice not to eat meat (and yes, I consider fish meat...it was the first thing I gave up after a fishing trip when I couldn't stop thinking about what a horrible way it was to die) is part of that. I will do what it takes to heal me but I do feel extraordinarily toxic when I eat meat so try to get off it as soon as I can. I'm not advising anyone else to give it up (though lessening the amount this country eats would be good) but *my* body does much better without it. Like we all say, every body is different. I can eat carrots without a problem but if I have a hard boiled egg I have to run to the bathroom. I'm sure there are lots of vegetarians who started eating meat after getting into SCD and I'm sure they're much healthier now (b/c of SCD) but some of them have told me they want to go back to being vegetarian (while still SCD of course). I'm just saying it can be done Stacey > >I'm dairy-free, meat-free and now egg-free SCD. > >It can definitely be done.
