,

First of all I am glad you did not go to th at big mansion in the

sky. We would have missed you a lot. I remember the last time I was in

the hospital, I could not eat much the first day after surgery. The

hospital did keep me on IV fluids and I am sure that is what they did

with you. That may be what they did with you. I also know that when I

am sick, I do one of two things - I weigh slightly more or I way slightly

less. You are probably less active so you may retain some weight

initially. I think you are doing fine. I know you are worried but the

weight thing doesn't really sound that bad. I am more worried about the

other problems. Please take care of yourself.

Oh , nobody is going to flame you. Thank G*d you finally got

yourself to the hsopital. As for the weight gain, if you were on an

IV, I know I always retain more fluid than I eliminate, so I'm always

up a few pounds for several days after the IV is taken out. I know

it's easier said than done, but try not to worry about that...I'll

betcha those pounds will come back off in a few days. Just

concentrate on getting yourself well. We need you around here. :))

Hugs,
