I am not christian but i pray the same as everyone else. And i never pushed my beliefs on anyone either. we must all leave that to a personal thing. It does not offend me when anyone talks about there strengh they get or share it. because I do the same.

thank you guys and i am glad we got this out. i've felt bad for a long time and i feel bad enough with this horror and this is where i come for support and relief .

,

I wanted to thank you for making us discuss this very important issue. Sometimes we get to busy, or think someone else is going to answer-- so we don't say anything.

I was reading the posts the other day, and I know that you all depend on me to answer your questions, and I can tell you that ALL our moderators and many of our long time members have as much knowledge as I do.

I can explain the medical stuff, and so many of you can explain the emotional, personal and psychological stuff-- and when you do-- I so very much appreciate it. Many times I may add to what you've all shared-- and that is what group support is about.

I do hope that as we reach out to each other, that each person takes the time to think about what is going on-- put themself in the other persons shoes, and offer their advice from a place of heartfelt honesty.

When I joined this group back in 2000 or so, we had only 76 members. We laughed, cried, discussed the issues of living with chronic illness. We discussed how it effected our marriages, our kids, our sex lives, our friendships. We also teased the heck out of each other-- and the friendships of those years have seen alot of growing pain and joy.

As we've gotten bigger, (600+ members) so much of that has gone the wayside, and it missed by many of us. The old "adage" of "laughter is the best medicine" is so real-- and healing.

I don't know how to get us back on that level, or even if we can. We aren't psychologists, we are normal people with a challenge that is so very invasive of every part of our daily existence, and when we honest up with each other-- on a forum like this-- we all grow in ways we didn't have a clue existed.

This is why we also tell people to discuss what is happening on the board, instead of having people contact you offline-- (even those are important) so that we can share our combined wisdom.

This disease makes us so vulnerable, and so when the going gets tough-- we need to really reach out and yell loudly- we need help! Don't be afraid to speak out. Your concern is being experienced by most every member-- and most are too shy to speak out.

It is an honor to be trusted in the way you trust me. I'm not totally sure I deserve it. I know that Rose, Darlene, , Debbie, Marla, Kim are all knowledgeable, competent and the most caring bunch of women that I could possibly associate with. Thank you ladies! Trust them-- as I trust them-- and know that if I'm not able to be here-- that you still have a group of people to lean on-- and they can lean on you. There is strength in numbers!

With compassion,

Tracie
