Guest guest
If the HCl is irritating your stomach, it probably means you have too much acid with it. Did you get tested first? Or at the very least, work up one capsule at a time and pay very close attention to whether you get any burning or other naughty things? I believe the way to do it yourself is to work to the dose that causes the burning (then neutralize that with a bit of baking soda in water), and step back one capsule for your dosage. That's your dose right now. Later as things get better you may need less. I am now taking half what I was taking when I started SCD and I'm eating more protein. You don't take HCl except for a protein meal, either, BTW. If you just feel you need a little help you might do better with a combo of the plant enzymes. Is there any potential downside to taking digestive enzymes? I was taking Biogest HCI for a few months, and though I can't prove it definitively, I'm pretty sure it was contributing to inflammation of my stomach lining.
