Guest guest
I had both upper and lower sugery (lower forward) on Dec. 22. I teach so I also have to talk a lot for my job. I went back 2 weeks after my surgery. I was just banded shut though. The kids could understand me okay. I had to have surgery again Thurs (Feb 3) on just my upper and I am talking okay again. I would say the biggest thing is that it starts to ache when I talk too much. I would recommend that you take at least a couple of weeks and then see if you could play it by ear. I think all people probably recover at different rates. Good luck with anything. The people on here are really helpful so don't be afraid to ask. orthognathicsurgerysupport , " melissadouthwright " <melissadouthwright@y...> wrote: > > I just thought of something, I work at a call centre (I do incoming > and make car reservations for Avis Rent-A-Car) and the woman at my > oral surgeon's office said I'd likely need at least 6 weeks off > because my job is talking on the phone for 8 hours a day. Guest guest
Just wanted to thank everyone for their input. I'm much more relaxed about getting the jaw surgery done now. I meet with the surgeon on March 3 and I'll let you all know how it went and I did write down all the questions I wanted to ask him. Will keep you updated. Thanks,
