Guest guest
Rachael Thanks for the time you spent explaining the steps to edit replies to emails and why. You did it much better than I. And you are right when you say: " It's not a matter of preference, it's a matter of common 'net courtesy, " Bonnie, Thank you I do agree with netiquette, I just don't think some people know how long it actually makes a digest if you don't erase previous posts. I know I didn't until recently. Amy Tammy was not being a bitch. She is simply as frustrated as others having to scroll through messages repeated over and over just to read the new posts. Like I said before, this is the first list that I subscribe to that does not enforce editing. For example of what Im talking about, I have posted below a rule from another gastric bypass list that explain this even better: ***Edit quoted text to a bare minimum. *DO NOT QUOTE the entire message (along with footers) that you are replying to* More often than not, the topic is apparent either in the subject line or by your response. There is no need to quote ALL OF THE MESSAGE AND FOOTERS again. If you think the question is not apparent, please cut and paste the relevant portion at the bottom of your email. This is ESPECIALLY important for Digest members. This is very similiar to other groups I subscribe to. Again, Im not leaving the group, I learn a lot here, cheer for you like you are my sister/brother, find Im not alone and get the ocassional reality check. Im just unsubscribing from email versions and saying why. ~~Pat~~ Orlando, Fl 252/189/160 BMI 37/28/23 5'9 1/2 52 years young Lap RNY 12/10/2003 Wayne English MD Ft Lauderdale, Fl
