Thanks for the thought, Judie. I think that the lithotripsy is for

larger stones such as are in the gall bladder and not for kidney

stones. Anyway, they generally pass OK by themselves, and if a pain

killer like Percoset is taken, it's bearable. My greatest fear,

given that it was on my right side, was that it could be a

strangulated intestine. Once the X-rays and blood in my urine ruled

that out, the rest, though painful, was duck soup.

Could be. Once I went back to work, I did not do a good job at

drinking enough water.
