My first consult

Well, the much anticipated first consult was yesterday and I came home and

cried all night...

I knew that I would have to do some medical stuff to be approved but found

out that my insurance wants 12 consecutive months of medically supervised

diet within the past 2 years...

Well guess what???? Not only is mine over 2 yrs old but I don't have 12

month consecutive....

and also he is questioning my ability to remain faithful to the life changes

since I am bi polar manic depressive.

He says he wants me to have a good 6 months with a phyc.

~sigh~

So what I thought would be a long 3 months (which is what they said it takes

to be cleared) will be an eternity with a label of 12 months...

Just typing this makes me want to cry again....

The doc was nice but he talked a mile a minute and had I not already known

what he was talking about, I would have been so very lost. I got it though

because of this group and my research.

He knew I had done my homework when I started asking him questions LOL.

Asked him if it was gonna be prox or distal and he said they do an

intermediate between the two of them to get the benefits of both.

I now have to go get some medical appointments and find a phys. that will

not insist on keeping me in service for umpteen years.... geesh.

I hope to prove that my bi polar diagnosis was incorrect but we will see.

Anyway.... that is what happened.

Thanks for helping me be prepared to listen to him because I could not have

understood him had I not known in advance what he was saying LOL...

You have all been great and I will keep you all posted as I know more.
