Large is about a size 16

12-14 is medium

At least in the Seattle stores where I shop (Value Village, Goodwill,

Salvation Army)

in Seattle

. My sister claims in

Yes that is correct. In a TRENDY shop large is a 12/14. The clothes

in those stores tend to run smaller. Sizes are different depending who

they were made for. For example a junior 13/14, petite 14, regular 14

an 14W, are all different sizes. There are differences in each peice,

when they are sewn togeather, some garment workers sew close to the

edge and some don't.

Size 16 is xl. I am solidly into 12/14/LG. but for confort I do wear

some XL tees. Size 16 pants fall off of me and I look like hell in

them - very sloppy.

Buy what fits and looks good on you and don't worry about the size. I

have the cutest little plaid skirt that I wore yesterday because it

makes me look very thin, it is a size 26/28, go figure.
