Please forgive the dumb question. I am having a senior moment. I

need to go in for a fasting blood test this week and thought the

nurse said nothing but water for 10-12 hours---OR is it 12 hours

prior to the test. I can't remember. If it is 10-12, I can go in

tomorrow am. If 12, I'll have to wait until Tuesday. Does anyone

know for sure? I believe the fasting is for a diabetes test--not

sure. Thanks.

I've heard nothing by mouth for 10 to 12 hours... or water only...

you'll need to call to find out. BUT rest assured, you should do it

first thing in the morning or you'll turn into a monster with

hunger. TRUST ME.
