Guest guest
Hello Everybody, This is Jo Ann Marino writing from Joe Marino's e-mail list. I am writing to ask for prayer for Joe, who is currently at Falmouth Hospital with what the cat scan says looks like a ruptured appendix. They will be taking him in for surgery in a little while (it is currently 12:30 pm EST). This came on abruptly yesterday with pain that Joe thought was really bad gas. Then last night after bible study it got worse, we thought it might be the hernia or the appendix, and by midnight he was in excruciating pain. I convinced him that he needed to go to the hospital, he drove himself in at midnight, and they kept him overnight for observation and tests. By this morning he had a fever and an elevated white blood count, and the cat scan confirmed that it was his appendix. He has the only surgeon at Falmouth Hospital that is somewhat familiar with the anatomy of a post-gastric-bypass patient, so he is in good hands. For those of you who may be wondering how our household is doing, please don't worry. I am feeling much better, and am not in pain anymore. We have friends who have volunteered to help out with the kids, my house is clean (thanks to some very helpful friends), and I have food to cook for my family. It is now clear to us why the Lord did not allow Joe to go to Mexico, and why He healed me so well in the hospital so I didn't have to have emergency surgery. He definitely knows what is going to happen to us before it happens! Please pray that the doctor can clean up any poison that is in his belly, and that he would recover quickly. God Bless, Jo Ann Marino
