Guest guest
My, cousins 4yr is autistic. she will be starting the diet, however her diet seems to be a little more intense than what i have reading about. they have to remove her from wheat, gluten, corn, casein, soy, eggs, citrus, sugar, preservatives, dyes and nuts. this is to be done cold turkey. her current diet consists of sandwich meat, cheese, potato chips, french fries, yogurt, peanut butter, cookies, icepops. I often help with the caretake of the child. i have also offered to bake, cook and whatever else i can do to help them get thru this stage of the game. thath is what brought me here. we are looking for any suggestions on homemade snack foods such as potato chips and cookies. thanks in advance. Guest guest
Hi- here are a few suggestions for foods- *UTZ brand potato chips (found in a reg. supermarket) are GFCF and no cross contamination. They are cooked in cottonseed oil. *get yourself a Miss Robens catalog by calling 1- or go on line at www.missroben.com They have ALL kinds of cake mixes, premade snacks, vitamins, flours, pastas, etc. for this diet and by each product they list if it is corn free, etc. In fact they have a whole section of GFCF food that is also corn free, etc. *Applegate farms has products that are gluten free and all their coldcuts are delicious. They are available at most HFS and also at Trader Joes. They have the hotdogs too with no preservatives, etc. *For baking you have to get Featherweight Baking Powder which is corn free. That is at Miss Robens too or many HFS Good luck- (LJs mom) on LOng Island New York * On Sat, 01 Sep 2001 14:48:01 -0000 sugareelas@... writes: .. they have to remove her from wheat, gluten, corn, casein, > soy, > eggs, citrus, sugar, preservatives, dyes and nuts. > > any suggestions on homemade snack foods such as potato chips and > cookies. thanks in advance. > ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
