Guest guest
Just wanted to put this out there for any suggestions on what you would change/do differently. I'm still flaring though not as bad from 2 months ago when I was forced to take the same antibiotics that got me here in the first place. I've tried intro diet and i've gone as far as eating nothing but water and chicken/beef (not ground) for 3 days at a time with no change except going less because I couldn't eat enough. Ive lost too much weight to keep trying that, so i've kept the honey cut out 100% and am eating mostly meat, eggs, and very diluted grape juice. I can't seem to find a connection with what i'm eating vs how well I feel. It all depends on the medication or the day and it seems random. I will get better for a few days, then go backwards. I think this is because I am not using the steroids every night since I don't have enough to last me until I get health insurance again (next month). I got S. boullardi and I am going to try that once I am out of the steroids along with some Rowasa enemas with the Asacol I am currently taking. I have a feeling if I could take the full dose of asacol i'd be doing better but I don't have enough of it so I had to ration it.Once I get the insurance back I am going to ask the doc to switch me to Colazol since i've read posts from Elaine that Colazol helps to keep the bacterial population in check while asacol does not. I'm assuming Colazol is sulfa free? (i'm allergic to sulfa drugs) On top of the colazol I plan on taking Diflucan for 3 weeks and starting LDN at this time. Hopefully it works. If not, i'm considering throwing in the towel and just enjoying my life while I can.-UC - 1+ yearsSCD - 7 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Asacol - 5 pills a day Hotmail: Trusted email with powerful SPAM protection.
