Cranial Osteopathy vs. Helmet therapy

Hello. My daughter is about to receive her DOC band on Feb. 9th. I

have had a number of people who know about her torticollis and

brachycephaly tell me I need to take her to an Osteopathic Doctor

before I " resort " to helmet therapy. I'm frustrated that people feel

the need to give me unsolicited advice. But I'm also curious as to

what other's experiences are and if anyone has tried this treatment?

From what I've read it seems that Cranial Osteopathy is at odds with

helmet therapy and traditional cranial sacral therapy. I hate that

people are causing me to question whether or not we're doing the right

thing. I just want to have all the information I need to make the

best choice for my daughter. Any thoughts or opinions are welcomed.

Thank you!

Thank you for your encouraging words. Reagan has severe Torticollis as well as Brachycephaly so that is why CST and physical therapy have been recommended for her. Poor kid's neck is pretty screwy. I do expect to see great results with the DOC band and feel very confident in our decision to go with Cranial Tech.

I love hearing stories of success, so thank you!

She's 5.5 months and is scheduled to receive her DOC band on FEb. 9th. I just keep getting unsolicited advice from people who swear by Cranial Osteopathy. My pediatrician said that Cranial Sacral Therapy would be just as helpful for Reagan.
