I found that yoga has helped me immensely with my balance. It's not

something I ever thought I'd be able to do in a million years because I'd

always associated it with being able to insert your right foot in your left

ear, but the fact is you can start out quite gently and gain strength,

flexibility and balance that you may not have ever thought possible. And

you never have to get to the point where you can drape your legs around

your neck - unless you want to work towards that.

I read somewhere that one of the reasons older people fall so much is

because of a progressive loss of flexibility that comes with age - I want

to postpone that as long as possible so I'm going to keep up with my yoga

practice as long as I'm physically able.
