We had Zachary's helmet adjusted yesterday and unfortunately he wore

it for an hour and started crying. After taking it off him and giving

it 2 hours time, I returned to AOI's office and they did not readjust

it. It took a total of 18 hours for those red spots to disappear =(

AOI's take on it is that he is just very sensitive and can not take

the pressure. To be fair to the Ortho's there, they did try very hard

to make it work for him. It just isn't working. So we are waiting

for his cranial specialist to give a call. Hopefully she will have

some input.

Thanks

My daughter also had a problem spot. At first it would just get red and then one morning I took it off of her and she had a good sized knot. We left her band off untill it went away and then we went back to 2hrs on 1 hr off and left it off at bedtime. Went to the ortho as soon as we could and he had to carve out the area that was irritated. Haven't had a problem since. Even the areas that were red but would fade aren't getting red anymore. I guess the skin starts to toughen up after awhile. Hang in there!
