safe in New York

hi all,

this is LennyB, safe in my apartment in Astoria

Queens, three stops from Manhattan. I'm sad and

angry and unfortunately want to eat things to

sedate these feelings, this doesn't seem to work

for me anymore. I am making sure I eat or drink

appropriate protein and taking the appropriate

vitamins. I may feel " bad " but I will " stay

well. "

Only two weeks ago I walked through the plaza at

the World Trade Center and thought how beautiful

this fountain, this space, next time family comes

up we should spend time right here, shop in the

mall, go to Century 21 (a great discount retail

house directly across the street from th twin

towers), have lunch...

Also, related to work, I have personally stood in

the lobbies and offices of a number of the

destroyed, damaged buildings to receive or

deliver documentation for clients, etc.

So, the bottom line is sadness and endurance and

strength. And I have the PHYSICAL strength since

the surgery to be productive, healthy and of

service, though at present I know not what steps

to take. I may one of the New Yorkers going to

work today to prove business as usual, and to

lend an ear to employees and colleagues.
