Guest guest
We aren't in the bar yet, but I have been thinking ahead about this issue myself as my son is a bit of a porker too. (He's bilateral atypical also) I had a friend pick me up some one pieces from the 's outlet when she was down in the US (we're in Canada obviously) and they snap right open. Also, while expensive, Gymboree has quite roomy clothing that snaps open all the way. eBay is a good resource for Gymbo if finances are an issue. I have bought a couple of items recently that when I got them home realized that one or both of the ciffs stayed in tact when you snapped them open and had not noticed it - D'Oh! They're okay while he is still in casts (although not ideal), but will be useless to me later. I have also found many great items at Old Navy - reasonable prices and again, they snap all the way open. Try explaining to people why you need clothes like this - it's been like banging my head against a wall sometimes when trying to tell friends/family that I need SPECIFIC clothes for him. They don't get it until you practically draw a picture for them! Another alternative is the babylegs individual leggings (http://www.babylegs.net). I think they are primarily intended for people doing early toilet training (EC), but I bought them because we have wood floors and I want some protection against them when he starts to crawl. The ones I bought are meant to fit up to age 4, so are pretty long and fairly stretchy. Hope that helps! jesciesierra wrote: Hello Everyone, We are newcomers to the site, but not to clubfeet. I have a 7-month- old daughter (bilateral atypical) who was treated unsuccessfully by a Ponseti certified doctor, and has been seeing Dr. Ponseti since the beginning of November. He is a WONDRFUL doctor, and I encourage anyone who's on the fence about whether or not they should see him, to definitely do so! I wish it had dawned on us to see him months before we did. My daughter has been in the bar for a little over a month, and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on clothing for the FAB over 12 months of age (she's quite the chunker). It's becoming increasingly harder to find clothes that snap on the inside of the legs, just curious if anyone has and advice on brands or stores that may carry this type of clothing. We'd also like to thank you all very much for diligently spreading the word of Dr. Ponseti and his method via the internet!
