Guest guest
Stacee, you could also look at the pictures on the maya wrap web site. You can do most of those positions with any wrap. It will just give you some ideas. We have the bjorn also, but find it easier to use the wrap with the FAB. I put our wrap on, stick Logan through so his butt hits the bottom of the wrap and the top is along the back of his head and tighten the wrap. His feet are in the fab and out of the wrap. Re: Babywearing with FAB...it works! I would love to see some photos!! We have both a Lucky Baby Sling and a Baby Bjorn, and I couldn't figure out how to use the sling with the casts or the FAB, so I'm using the Bjorn... I really don't like it too much, but I have already switched from the bucket car seat and am not going back to it, so I need some way to transport the littlest one into stores. I'm not too fond of strollers at his young age, either. Guess I just want my cake and eat it, too!! :-) You can email me directly if you want... doesn't matter to me... (if you don't want photos of you and baby online) Stacee s.schwander@... > > I have been wanting to get a sling so I could " wear " Mason instead of > carrying him in his carseat (which he hates) so I did the research and > we ended up buying a Dr. Sears Original Baby sling. Guest guest
I guess I'm confused... Like I said, I have the Lucky Baby sling, which is a pouch style carrier, and I can't do the kangaroo carry because of the FAB, the hip carry because his little legs can't wrap around my side due to the FAB, and he's too little for the back carry... Maybe it's just that he doesn't like being on his back in the cradle carry that you'd usually use for a newborn on up. He prefers to look out at everything. I have looked at the Maya wrap site, as well as the lucky baby site and didn't see any ideas that I'd be able to use personally... I would LOVE some advice, as it took me a ridiculously long time just to figure out how to put the sling on!! Let alone change positions of the baby in it. I've always just used the bjorn, I hate to admit. Thanks in advance for any suggestions! Guest guest
I'm probably the only mom in a 50 mile radius who " wears " their kid, lol, it's just not a common concept in my part of the world but ya, I swear by it despite the funky looks I get!!! Pictures are a good idea, if Everett is cooperative tonight I'll have dh photo us for you. Evy is nearly too big for it now but I bet we can manage some general ideas for you. s. Re: Babywearing with FAB...it works! ee-- are you an experienced baby-wearer? I am a complete idiot when it comes to the sling, as I said earlier, it took me an embarassingly long time to figure out how to put the darn sling on, let alone try different positions. This is the biggest reason I use the bjorn--I know it and it's easy. Sort of. Anyway, if you (or anyone else out there) are good at using the sling and could offer advice from picts of my kids in the sling I would appreciate it! I think my sling is too big, but can't tell, and it's been so long since I ordered the thing that I don't think I can exchange it. I hope to find out later today, as I emailed them earlier. I just want an easier way to carry while he's in the FAB for so much of his day. Thanks (again) in advance!
