Guest guest
Thanks for the encouragmnet. I relly needed it today. I did call the bariatric office and got basically the same story. There is supposedly a really long waiting list because so many people have been refered into the freemont program and there simply isn't enough doctors so everything is getting backed up. As others have said though, this is a great opportunity to spend time changing my eating habbits, losing the 10%, and adjusting to a new way of life. Thanks, > > Keep your chin up . I would call someone in the bariatric office and ask them if it is taking that long, before you take that to heart. I can not believe that is true. My pcp told me it would take up to 2 yrs. >

I will start the 1200 cal next wk and an exercise program. Do I need to also start on the vit regimen, and what should I take? Go on the Kaiser Website and look for the bariatrics dept. You can download the new binder with all of the info on it. It will give you a list of vitamins that you should take. I use Safeways childrens chewable W/Iron and calicum citrate and b12 under the tongue. I get the b12 at Trader Joes and the calicum citrate chewable from Solaray I get those at the healthfood store. A few weeks after surgery you can swallow pills so you can get a large bottle of calcium from Solgar also from the health food store. There is also Bariatrics Advantage online. They have a list of vitamins that the office recommends. Good luck. Bobbie Jo april 10th 2006 down to 170!
